Stainless Steel Deployment/Deployant Clasps make putting your watch on and taking it off similar to the way many watch bracelets work. They also add years of life to a leather watch strap by not stressing the leather as is done with buckles. Most of the polished Stainless Steel Clasps I offer are made by Fluco, which is a German company that's been in business since 1952, and are very high quality. Most of the brushed Stainless Steel Clasps offered are made by Hadley-Roma, which is a U.S. based company founded in 1903. Both of these companies only offer Deployment/Deployant Clasps in certain sizes. If you order a Clasps size or color that these companies do not make, I will special order you a high quality Clasp from one of my other main suppliers. When ordered in conjunction with a strap, the deployment clasp will be shipped with it attached to the strap. The pin size for the Deployment Clasp is 2mm less than the Lug Width for the taper provided on all Michael Knapp Leather watch straps, unless you state in the NOTE Field during Checkout that you want the strap made Straight without a taper. Curved Spring Bar Lug Pins offers your leather or alligator skin watch strap the ability to set a little further apart from the watch head, which allows better clearance. Many watches, such as Rolex watches, have the Spring Bars set very close to the watch head. This can lead to the strap rubbing against the watch head leaving a mark, and insetting Curved Spring Bar Lug Pins alleviates that possibility. Plus, it looks classy! This is an additional service provided by Michael Knapp Leather that further customizes your watch strap, and includes the set of Curved Lug Pins inset into each side of the strap.
